Mike Newton - Extra Innings Longmont Instructor

Mike grew up in Lakewood, CO and played baseball at Alameda High School where he was named Athlete of the Year in 1985. He went on to play college ball at Lamar Community College and Regis University where he is a member of the Regis Athletic Hall of Fame. He coached at Lakewood High School and the Lakewood Legion A and B teams for two years during college and after graduation; he was the pitching coach at Regis University. He is currently the pitching and hitting coach at Silver Creek High School and coaches in the competitive Silver Creek feeder system. He is co-owner of Extra Innings and provides pitching, hitting and fielding instruction.

Leta Newton - Extra Innings Longmont Instructor

Leta grew up in Boulder, CO and played competitively in the Boulder based Comets organization for most of her competitive career. She played college softball and volleyball at Regis University where she is a member of the Regis Athletic Hall of Fame. She was a CAC First Team All Conference and First Team All Region 7 selection for softball in 1992 and was also All Conference Honorable Mention in volleyball in 1991. Leta is currently the individual record holder at Regis for highest batting average (.460), highest slugging percentage (.674) and highest on base percentage (.495). She spent a year as the hitting coach at Regis and recently coached at Silver Creek High School. She is co-owner of Extra Innings and provides hitting and fielding instruction.

Colt Sedbrook - Extra Innings Longmont Instructor

Colt attended Broomfield High School where he was an All-Colorado selection his senior year and a three time All-State selection between 2002 and 2004. He attended one year at Dixie State College, where he was named second-team NJCAA Region 18 in 2005, before attending the University of Arizona where he holds the career record for being hit by a pitch at 42 in just two years. Colt was selected in the First Year Player Draft by the Colorado Rockies in 2004 and the Cubs in 2007, before being selected by the Cardinals in 2008 and agreeing to terms. He received the Scout.com Batavia Player of the Year and was named an NYPL All-Star in 2008. Colt is providing fielding and hitting instruction at Extra Innings during the off season.

Patrick Perry - Extra Innings Longmont Instructor

Patrick attended Niwot High School, Otero Junior College and the University of Northern Colorado where he still holds the school record for doubles, total bases, and RBIs and is second overall in hits. He received the NCAA batting title in 2004 for having the best single-season batting average in the nation and was Division I Baseball All-American and D-I Independent Player of the Year in 2004. After his success his junior year, Patrick was drafted by the Red Sox in the MLB Amateur Draft as a catcher as a seventh-round selection in 2004. He continued minor league play for five years was named team captain and team MVP by teammates and managers in 2007. Patrick is currently an assistant coach at UNC and provides catching and hitting instruction at Extra Innings.

Martha Davis - Extra Innings Longmont Instructor

Martha joins the instructional staff after concluding her Middle Tennessee State career as one of the most successful players in program history. She was named the Middle Tennessee State Female Athlete of the Year her senior year as well as second-team all-Sun Belt Conference for the second time in her college career. Davis graduated from Middle Tennessee State with a bachelor's degree in physical education in 2009 and is planning on pursuing her master's in administration. She was an assistant coach at Colorado State University in 2010. Martha provides softball hitting and fielding instruction at Extra Innings and is available evenings Monday through Friday and during weekends.
