Haas Pratt - Extra Innings Longmont Instructor
Haas Pratt originally hails from Pomona High School in Arvada, CO where in 1997 he became the first freshman varsity letterman in school history. In 1999 and 2000, he played for Rancho Bernardo High School in San Diego, CA, where they were the 1999 and 2000 CIF Champions Rated #1 High School Baseball team in the Nation. In college, Haas played for the University of Miami Hurricanes (2000-2002) and for the Arkansas Razorbacks (2002-2004). Miami won the College World Series during Haas’ freshman season and the Razorbacks were SEC champions and reached the College Worlds Series in 2004. That year, Haas was the Razorbacks Hitter of the Year. Haas was selected in the professional baseball draft three times; 2000 by the Boston Red Sox, 2003 by the Milwaukee Brewers and 2004 by the Oakland Athletics. From 2004 to 2007, Haas played in the Oakland Athletics organization. He has professional experience all over the field; at one time or another, he played first, catcher, and outfield. He even pitched on occasion. After his playing career, Haas became a coach and minor league manager in the A’s organization. In 2013, he was the Hitting Coordinator for the A’s entire Minor League system. Haas is a partner in Extra Innings Longmont and provides instruction for hitting (both baseball and softball), pitching, catching, and fielding. Greg Moore - Extra Innings Longmont Instructor
Greg Moore is originally from Mission San Jose High School in Fremont, CA where he was a 4 year letterman and 2 year Varsity baseball MVP. Greg then attended Ohlone Community College in Fremont, CA where was named a national All-American, Coast Conference MVP and California Junior College Pitcher of the Year in 1998, compiling a 12-1 record with a 2.10 ERA, 147 Strike outs and 10 walks. Greg was drafted by the Anaheim Angels in 1998 and began his professional career in the Northwest League with the Boise Hawks. Greg spent 3 years in the Angels organization before joining the Rockies organization in 2001. Since retiring in 2003, Greg has been instructing pitchers both in California and now in Colorado. Greg is presently the pitching coach at Erie High School and is also a professional photographer and paramedic. Greg is an instructor at Extra Innings and provides pitching instruction. David Castillo - Extra Innings Longmont Instructor
David attended Oral Roberts University from 2000 to 2003 where he was a two-time Player of the Year in the Summit Conference and three-time All American. In addition, David was voted to the Oral Roberts University Top 10 Athletes of the Decade from 2000 – 2009.by the Tulsa World. David was selected by the Oakland A’s in the seventh round (212th overall) of the June 2003 draft where he played as high as AAA in a seven year career. During his career, he was named the Cape Cod All-Star starting catcher, was named a Midwest League All-Star and was named a Northern League All-Star. David is a current assistance coach at Fairview High School in Boulder. He is an instructor at Extra Innings and provides instruction for hitting, pitching, fielding and catching.
Jen Garcia - Extra Innings Softball Pitching Instructor
Jen (Mason) Garcia grew up in New England. While playing high schoolsoftball in New Hampshire, Jen won two state championships and earned numerous awards including Class M Player of the Year, US Marine Corps Female Athlete Award, MVP, and the Boston Globe All-Scholastic State 1st Team. She was the youngest pitcher at Littleton High School (NH) to win a State Championship and still holds one of the lowest ERA’s in NH state history.Garcia went on to pitch at Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY where she helped her team win the NCAA DIII Softball National Collegiate Championship in 2002. Obviously an accomplished pitcher before entering college, Jen feels she truly learned how to pitch (and teach pitching) in college while working with the head coach of Cornell University, the legendary Mr. Dick Blood. She has served as the pitching coach for Fossil Ridge High School and has given softball pitching lessons to athletes of all ages. Matthew Frederick - Extra Innings Instructor
Matt Frederick played collegiately at Eckerd College (2007-2008), Trinidad State (2009-2010) and Bemidji State (2010-2011). He played collegiately as both a pitcher and outfielder at all three schools. He grew up in Boulder, CO and graduated from Fairview High School in 2007. After graduating college he returned home to help Fairview as an assistant baseball coach for the past 7 years (2009-Present). Matt also assisted with Fairview's softball program in 2011 and 2012 and served as the Softball Head Coach in 2013 and 2014.
